Executive Officer - Academic

The Right Reverend Dr Bradly Billings

I coordinate the resources and research arms of the Institute, and am always on the lookout for what God is doing in the church and community at large. I am Assistant Bishop in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne with responsibility for the selection and training of new clergy and for clergy wellbeing. Previously I was vicar of the outrageously busy St John’s church in Toorak and Archdeacon of Stonnington and Glen Eira. In my spare time, and when not indulging in my passion for Premier League football, I write articles for publication in various academic journals. I have degrees in Theology and Ministry, an MA in Classics and Archaeology, and a Doctorate in Theology.

I believe in Christian ministry that works by connecting people to God, whether it’s high or low, traditional or contemporary, conservative or liberal. I relish putting ministers of the Gospel in touch with resources that will assist them in the age old task of making disciples and fostering vibrant and healthy, growing, Christian communities, in whatever context God has called them to.

I am married to Karen. We have five children (four boys and one girl).
