Research into applied Christian ministry

The Bishop Perry Institute exists for the purposes of fostering effective parish, network, chaplaincy, and other ministries. In addition to the delivery of focused training and leadership coaching, and the publication of resources, a core function of the Institute is to conduct “research in various modes seeking both to identify best practice and to identify opportunities within the Diocese for all its expressions to move toward best practice.” Submissions may be made at any time, using the pro forma on the 'New Proposals' page. Each year grants are awarded by the Institute, through its Academic Reference Committee, for targeted research in specific areas of applied ministry. As research projects are accepted by the Institute's Academic Reference Committee, they are listed on the website as 'In Progress.' When completed to the satisfaction fo the committee, research projects are then published in full on the Publications page.
